The FMECA method (Failure mode, effects and criticality analysis) is a strict and preventive method, with the goal of enumerating, therefore evaluating the potential weaknesses of a system.

The reflection results in a prioritization of the latter followed by a decision made regarding the actions to lead.

A regular verification and a calendar of the realization of these actions are implemented. The application of the corrective measures is verified on the field.

Each study is capitalized to be used as a diagnosis instrument and in view of future projects. The FMECA is equally very well adapted to realize a « new visit of the existing » like that which is exercised in the continuous progress framework.
